Why do people get into MBA? to add higher education to the resume? to get better jobs? earn more money? go global? expand their intellectual horizons? Or all of the above?
I'd definitely say that I used to say all of the above when I was preparing for my MBA admissions. Months of GMAT studies, exhaustive school research, hours of work on essays and recommendations, all efforts to get into good school. And now when I'm here, at one of the best schools in the world, am I concerned about all my reasons to pursue MBA?
Definitely not. I've been in Babson's MBA program for a month now, and I spent my time meeting brilliant people, making new friends, learning their personalities, finding similarities and differences, studying accounting as second language and philosophy and business ethics, pitching my business ideas in front of strangers, finding new definitions of music, putting myself in most embarrassing situations, dancing at parties, sipping diet coke in bars, trying to blend in while standing out!
Who knew MBA could be all of the above and much much more??!! When you do zillion things in one day, a day seems like a week. Through this blog I will try to capture all those amazing moments in my MBA life. This blog is for future me, who will definitely want to relive her fantastic Babson life!
